Do you have a personal branding statement?

Wow wow wow, training is over in five days??? What is life???

I’m honestly kind of sad because this has been one of the coolest, yet tough experiences of my life. Also, I found my best friends and jokes on them because they are never getting rid of me, hehe.

Okay so I’m just now starting to put my 287 pages of notes into words so bare with me as new content from training starts rolling in. I learned the coolest thing the other day and I just had to share – a personal branding statement! Lol-ing because this was my degree and I never did it… so yeah… college.

Regardless, this was a really neat reflection tool that just set the tone of how I see myself, how I want others to view me and what I strive for! Y’all know I’m obsessed with organization, goal setting and all things branding so I thought this was perfect to share AND did I mention it’s pretty straight forward? Notice I didn’t say easy because sometimes putting a “label” on yourself is uncomfortable and weird.

We normally aren’t thinking about this on the reg, or at least I’m not, so it’s a mind shift for sure. I took about three days just going back and forth with this, so towards the end, I’ll share mine with you as well! Also, a note for recent graduates, be thinking of how to shift your personal brand from “college” you, to “entering the work force” you.

Biggest things to think about…

  • What do you stand for?
  • What makes you stand you?
  • What makes you compelling?
  • Why should anyone else care?

Another good guide to follow is this:

What do you VALUE? > Who is you AUDIENCE? > How do you do this UNIQUELY?

Here is mine:

“Being centered in my faith and motivated by my family, I am unapologetically myself and refuse to take life too seriously. Through positivity and confidence, I strive to better myself and serve as a role model for others, daily.”

So I have this in my computer, on my phone and now on my blog, but what I really want to do is print it out, put it in a frame and put it in the bathroom (where I get ready) as a daily reminder of the best version of myself, thoughts?

Anyway, that’s it! If you actually write this for yourself, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear from you and your thoughts on the importance / overall process! I hope you have a fantastic week and…

Be confidently you,
